Outdoor Fireplaces

Artisan founder Gary Heginbottom is renowned for his stone fireplace designs, starting his 40-year fireplace career at Pawson’s Stone Quarry, Morley. He led Pawson’s to become the UK market leader on stone fireplace design and distribution…

But guess what… They’re back!

Artisan are constantly being asked by architects to commission designs for outside stone fireplace projects.

So, what better than matching the brick or stone of your home and building a fire and fireplace feature outdoors.

Dimplex Premier Retailer

Artisan Fireplace Design Ltd is one of a select group of Dimplex Premier Retailers

ARTISAN Fireplace Design’s showroom boasts more than 550 displays in an old silk mill in Brighouse. The company has been heating Yorkshire’s homes for more than 30 years and its showroom, set over three floors, showcases a wide range of electric, gas and solid fuel stoves and fires, plus accessories.

Enhanced support

Artisan Fireplace Design Ltd is one of a select group of Dimplex Premier Retailers, taking advantage of an enhanced support package from Dimplex that includes website, social media and POS. The scheme, which offers priority listing on Dimplex’s website and an individual page for all participating retailers, recognises the showroom support given by retailers.

Sue Malthouse says it is just one of the ways in which the retailers and manufacturer can benefit from mutual support, to benefit both brands. She added “we gave a whole floor dedicated to electric appliances only and this includes 40 Dimplex products on display. We are delighted to display and support the Dimplex brand with most of the range on display, including the large landscape Opti-V PGF20 as an eye-catching entrance feature.”

Of course, the marketing and website support we get as part of the Dimplex Premier Retailer scheme is a benefit to us, but like any good partnership it works well because we offer mutual support.” “We’ve seen the way in which Dimplex activity promotes products across its social media channels and we’ve been able to engage with the on our own Facebook and Twitter pages to our advantage. We regularly promote the products in regional TV campaigns and in quality newspapers and we’ve also put significant invest into the showroom to show off the products to their very best – even designing bespoke fireplaces to house fires.”

“We have a strong relationship with Dimplex and are proud to be Yorkshire’s premier dealer for its fine products. Dimplex has a dedicated after sales team, who are swift to attend to our customers’ needs when it is needed”

Spotting Trends

Part of the success of any retailer, of course, is being able to identify changes in customer demand and then aim to deliver the products needed to meet those changing demands. Sue Malthouse adds that Dimplex’s commitment to new product development, supported by the manufacturer’s own in-house research and development and product design facilities, has been another benefit over the course of many years. She said: “Dimplex is always one step ahead with its new effects, incomparable from others, hence the runaway success of its whole range.”

“We are seeing a trend towards the larger cassette type fires, with more people looking for a real statement fire, and Dimplex offers -some -perfect- -solutions with its Opti-V and Opti-myst cassette models. Of course, the traditional range is consistently popular too.”

From Tony

Artisan would like to thank their customers for understanding

On Saturday evening due to the heavy and persistent rainfall to swollen rivers and on saturated ground the River Calder and Clifton Beck flooded, turning many roads into rivers in the centre of Brighouse.

The flooding on Phoenix Street has caused extensive damage to the Artisan Fireplace Design warehouse; the Artisan team has been in on Sunday cleaning up the damage after the river levels started to drop. The Artisan showroom has not been touched and Artisan will be open for business as usual on Monday, taking customer’s orders for January fitting dates. The only part of the business which was damaged by the flood water was the warehouse which was full of Artisan’s customer’s new fires ready to be installed this week in time for Christmas. Artisan have contacted all customers due to have installations this week and rearranged their fitting dates for as quickly possible in January.

Sue Malthouse, Managing Director at Artisan Fireplace Design said “I would like to express my sincere thanks to our customers for their patience, support and understanding after the flood disaster in the Brighouse basin.  We’re all absolutely gutted that this happened at this time of year. The Artisan team have been wonderful, pulling together to open again for Monday. We have contacted all the customers who were due to have fireplace installations this week and rearranged new installation dates.”

Artisan’s marketing team have contacted Santa at the North Pole and updated his house list with the houses which won’t have their new fire for Christmas to advise him to use an alternative entrance.
