We have a brand new website and e-commerce site, selling goods nationwide delivered to the door free of charge, now giving people in every county the chance to enjoy an Artisan Fireplace feature. Our showrooms are refurbished and all our 2013 designer ranges are patented and ready to install in your home.

What sets your business apart from your competitors?
Our personal design, installation service and workmanship are second to none, based on 36 years experience in the fireplace industry. We are the manufacturers and standard is not a word we recognise. Competitors can not match these strengths.

Who are your customers?
Our customers are the home improvers, the home movers, the property developers, the landlords, anybody that knows the importance of an efficient heating appliance and/or room feature.

How do you see 2013 developing?
Retail will be tough this winter; the press will make sure of that. We expect less competition and more customers.

With the upgraded fireplace showroom, Artisan now has an even wider selection of electric hang on the wall fires, with more exclusive designs only available from Artisan. We’ve added to the Artisan collection of high efficient gas cassette fires with six new designs for  2013 all at 89% efficiency. The ever popular Inglenook fireplace design is shown in many combinations of materials with stoves now starting from £299.00

Artisan have remodelled their designer fireplace section with a ‘full wall’ feature and ‘tunnel’ room dividers in gas, electric, wood burning or solid-fuel, breath taking designs on three floors. New photographs to follow soon!

With the launch of the new Artisan website earlier this year, the number of enquires coming from customers outside of West Yorkshire has increased. With the new demand from fireplace customers Artisan have increased the areas in which they carry out fireplace home surveys and fireplace installations to a 50 mile radius. These areas include Sheffield, Oldham, Rochdale, North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire

Unfortunately the recession has forced the demise of many smaller fireplace retailers, leaving Artisan the only fireplace manufacturer/ retailer able to fulfill customers’ fire, fireplace and/ or stove requirements giving customers peace of mind that they will get the fire they want, fitted to a high standard and from a company that will still be around for all customers service needs.

The fires quickly became unusable. When questioned, the supplier suggested quick fixes, including glass panels to reduce the fireplace area. Unhappy that the whole design of fireplace and room was being compromised, the homeowners contacted Artisan Fireplaces in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. Artisan’s Gary Heginbottom visited the site and realised that the fireplace area/flue diameter ratio was wrong, aggravated by one of the chimneys having been lined. He also pointed out that the installer had lined only one chimney, when he had charged for lining both. The survey revealed that the close proximity of trees and other buildings made it unlikely that a reliable natural chimney draught could be sustained with the existing fireplace.

Instead, Artisan installed a Exhausto chimney fan systems to provide and control the draught. The CORGl-accredited systems has a fail-safe feature that shuts off the gas supply to the fire should the chimney become blocked or damaged. As soon as the chimney is clear, and the fan can draw a proper draught up the chimney, the gas supply can be restored and the gas fire can be lit as normal. Exhausto claims that the chimney fan system is the only one available that has a fully-certified fail-safe capability Exhausto chimney fan systems are available from Artisan Fireplace Design andversions are available for both gas- and solid-fuel fires. There is also a version with a wall vent that can be installed in homes with no chimney
