It is likely as Yorkshire homeowners between 1975 and 1991 (whether your home or your parents) that you experienced the PAWSONS STONE FIREPLACE SYNDROME.

Materials quarried at Pawson Ltd, Morely, designed by Gary Heginbottom copied by every ‘bricky’ builder, Tom, Dick and Harry nationwide.

Gary left Pawsons Ltd. In 1985 to set up with his now ex-wife sue, ARTISAN, Europe’s largest and most successful centre, proudly based at the heart of Yorkshire in Brighouse.

His bespoke stone fireplace designs led the way for another 4 or 5 years, when it pains Gary and Sue to admit, that they too joined the retail masses with MDF surrounds and imported foreign ‘standard’ fireplaces in stones, resin and marbles “that everybody and their neighbours now seem to have” – says Sue.

Gary Heginbottom, Sue and all at Artisan are proud to announce its time for their return to the BESPOKE CLASSIC DESIGN ERA. Traditional designs modernised with new materials such as granites, travertines, limestones, polished slates, Corian and even porcelain.

The Classic range, designed exclusively by Artisan, available only at Artisan. This time designs are patented so Tom, Dick and Harry, eat your standard heart out.
